EXCALIBUR AIRWAYS
(United Kingdom)

Excalibur Airways was one of the charter carriers which came up in the 1990s to stay for some years and disappear forever. Founded in 1992, the airline concentrated on charter flights to holiday destinations in the Mediterranean Sea with a fleet of leased A320 aircraft. In 1996, a DC-10-30 from Skyjet was leased to fly long-range services to Florida, but the company's situation was already bad at that time. #75 arrived on May 30th 1996 and stayed for less than a month as operations were ceased on June 26th 1996. The plan to acquire two own DC-10-30 aircraft with the reserved registrations G-SPNA and G-SPNB did not became true.
